Marketing does not have to break the bank, and the truth is that all the tools needed to create a consistent online presence slowly but surely add up to be quite a lot very fast! To help you out, here are some online tools that I recommend you try out - that all have a free option!
No design degree needed - there are some great designs to customize and use to make your own (though I recommend not just using them straight up if you want to stand out, use them more as a guide than a template)! Canva also have pre-set ideal sizes for many different platforms, which is super helpful when editing reels, designing a newsletter header, or just creating an Instagram post!
While I need to put a disclaimer that I personally use a different software to schedule posts for my clients because I manage multiple accounts, Meta Business Suite will allow you to schedule Instagram & Facebook posts, respond to DMs, and view insights in an easy way. It's a great free option for a small business owner to manage their own page.
This is a great option for you to start building your email list and even sending out branded newsletters. The free plan allow for up to 500 contacts and allows you to create a great branded newsletter (they also offer a Freelance option for you to add your potential future Digital Marketing Support as an Admin without giving them your password and login information - which I personally think is a great feature that helps you keep your login information secure).
A great tool to help you find Keyword ideas, content suggestions, and it will even give you a traffic overview and let's you compare your site to competitors (the free plan only allows for one website, but should work fine for most small businesses). This will be super helpful for when you're working on your website's SEO and content plan - and I typically recommend clients and friends start with this site to get to know what keywords will work best for their business, before they do anything else.
This tools is amazing, actually. You put in a keyword (or your industry), choose the platform, and it will show you what people are actually searching for and interested in in terms of that keyword or industry. I would suggest compiling a list of suggested keywords before going here, so you know what to search, but this will help you when making content such as informational posts (like this blog post), FAQ's for your website and just staying ahead of what's trending in your niche. It's a great tool, AND it's free - so should definitely be in your toolbox!
